How many portable toilets do I need for an event in NZ?
It depends on your guest numbers, event duration, and what food and drink is being served. As a starting point: 1 toilet per 50 guests for shorter events; with increases from there if food and drink are being served. For large events over 6 hours, plan for us being on-site to maintain the units. We’ve delivered hundreds of events and are happy to help you calculate the right setup, just get in touch.
How far in advance should I book event toilets?
We recommend booking at least 2 to 4 weeks in advance to secure availability, and more for large events during peak season. That said, FLSSH can also accommodate urgent and last-minute bookings, call us directly on 0800 33 33 82 and we’ll do our best to get you sorted.
Do you service the toilets during events?
Yes. For long and busy single-day events and for multi-day events, we can manage regular servicing to maintain hygiene standards. We build a servicing schedule into your event plan from the start, so there are no gaps and your guests always have clean facilities.
Can you help with the layout and positioning of toilets at my event?
Absolutely. This is one of our strengths. The FLSSH team has deep experience across event types from small local gatherings to large-scale festivals, and we understand how to plan sanitation layout across the different parts of your event (think GA, VIP, and backstage zones). We’ll work with you on placement to ensure everything is practical, accessible for guests, and runs smoothly on the day.
